The much-awaited event, "Rumiko Takahashi's original works/drafts x Sunrise brand works fair - We will be connected to tomorrow," is finally happening. This special fair is basically a tribute to the legendary anime adaptations produced by Sunrise based on the iconic original creations of Rumiko Takahashi. For all the fans who have been waiting, the event will kick off from March 14th across six major Sunrise World store locations in Japan, namely TOKYO, YOKOHAMA, HAKATA, KYOTO, SENDAI, and KOSHIGAYA. Along with the announcement, the stunning key visual for the fair has also been officially released to the public.

The fair is set to highlight three major works that have defined generations of fans. First, we have the timeless classic Inuyasha, followed by its successful successor Hanyou no Yashahime (Yashahime: Half-Demon Princess), which beautifully carries forward the original worldview. Additionally, the event will celebrate Takahashi’s latest work, MAO, which is scheduled to begin its broadcast in two consecutive seasons starting from April 4th. The newly released key visual is quite special because it features Inuyasha, Kagome, Towa, Setsuna, Moroha, Mao, Nanoka, and Otoya. All these characters have been specially drawn by Yoshihito Hishinuma, who is the talented character designer for all three series.
Exclusive Merchandise and Special Bonuses for Fans
In the product sales section of each participating store, fans can get their hands on a variety of original goods. These items feature the beautiful character illustrations from the key visual. Apart from regular merchandise, there are also premium art prints available for sale. These prints are unique as they come in a set containing both the "shaded original drawing" and the final completed illustration for each work. It is truly a great way for collectors to appreciate the detailed art style of Inuyasha and the newer series.
To make the shopping experience even better, there is a special gift for shoppers. For every purchase worth 3,000 yen (including tax) at the merchandise corner, you will get a random mini colored paper (shikishi) as a bonus gift. There are three different types of these mini papers available, all featuring the exclusive illustrations by Hishinuma.

Exhibitions and Commemorative Displays
If you happen to visit the Sunrise World TOKYO branch, you are in for an extra treat. The store will feature a panel display showing off the latest visuals for the MAO anime, along with nostalgic promotional posters from the Inuyasha and Yashahime: Half-Demon eras. This display really reminds us why Inuyasha remains a must-watch anime and manga icon even after all these years.
Furthermore, a very special piece of art drawn by Rumiko Takahashi herself to celebrate the MAO broadcast will be on display. You can find it at the showcase near the entrance of Bandai Namco Cross Store Tokyo until May 24th. After that, it will move inside the Sunrise World TOKYO showcase from May 25th onwards. This is a rare chance to see the creator's hand-drawn work up close.
