Exploring the Special Feature of Sound! Euphonium in Quick Japan Vol.183

Fans of the musical anime world have something really exciting to look forward to very soon. A very special feature on the popular anime Sound! Euphonium is set to be published in the upcoming Quick Japan vol.183 by Ota Publishing. This much-awaited volume is going to hit the stands on April 14th, bringing a lot of deep insights for the followers of the series. If you have been following the Sound! Euphonium series, you would know how much heart and soul goes into this production by Kyoto Animation.

Celebrating the Final Movement and Character Growth

This special feature is actually being held to commemorate the big release of Final Movement Sound! Euphonium Part 1. In this edition, the magazine takes a nostalgic trip back to the series, which has always beautifully shown the pain and the sheer preciousness of being very serious about one's life goals. It is going to unravel the "after" of those intense school days that the characters spent together. For many, this Sound! Euphonium journey has been more than just about music; it is about growing up and facing real challenges.

The magazine includes some very cool things for the fans:

  • Famous Scenes Collection: A curated look at some of the most iconic moments from the anime that touched our hearts.
  • Toki Hanada Interview: A deep conversation with the scriptwriter who has been with the project since the very first season, explaining the narrative choices.
  • Tomoyo Kurosawa Feature: An exclusive interview with the voice of Kumiko Oumae. The magazine even accompanied her on a visit to her alma mater, which happened after a gap of 10 long years.

Exclusive Merchandise and Cover Details

The back cover of this issue is looking really great, decorated with a brand new illustration of Kumiko Oumae looking back while standing in a school hallway. For the collectors, there are limited edition acrylic blocks featuring this same artwork. These are being sold at the EC site and the QJ store, but you should hurry before they go out of stock. Also, please keep in mind that Quick Japan vol.183 has three different covers. Only the "Lauren Iroas ver." actually features the Sound! Euphonium art on the back cover, so make sure you pick the right one at the shop.
