New Characters and Casting Highlights

As the official release date of February 27 in Japan is coming closer, we can expect many more updates to keep us on our toes. Interestingly, the satellite broadcaster NTV is also planning a very special program dedicated to the whole franchise on February 21. This will be an exclusive event where we can see interviews with major cast members, especially Miho Okasaki, who voices our favourite slime, Rimuru. They will be talking about the deep details of their characters and what it was like recording for this new chapter.

The film is introducing some very interesting fresh faces to the mix:

  • Saori Ōnishi will be playing Yura, who is a priestess of the water dragon in the nation of Kaien.
  • Koichi Domoto takes on the role of Zodon, the cabinet minister of the seabed nation Kaien.
  • Kōji Yusa joins as Djeese, the prime minister of Kaien.

The lineup is looking quite solid and diverse. Also, Hinatazaka46 members Nao Kosaka and Kaho Fujishima are voicing original characters, which really adds a nice fresh dimension to the whole plot. Many fans agree that That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a must watch fantasy epic precisely because of how it keeps expanding its world with such interesting personalities.

The Journey Continues: Season 4 and Beyond

It’s not only the movie that is creating all this hype; the television series is also doing incredibly well. There is so much anticipation for the fourth season, which is scheduled to premiere on April 3. It has been confirmed that we will get a total run of five cours, which is just amazing news for the binge-watchers.
