Taiyo Matsumoto's new series ``Nanbanjin'', originally designed by Cyril Pedrosa, started in Big Comic Original No. 9 (Shogakukan), released today, April 20th.
The story is set in Tanegashima, the place where guns were introduced. During the Muromachi period, a large, scarred red-haired man washes up on an island. Shobei, a former fisherman who finds him on the beach, takes the giant man to his house on the outskirts of the village and takes care of him, while the villagers make a fuss that he is a foreigner.
