The 4K remastered versions of the anime "The Twelve Kingdoms" and the anime "Nadia: The Secret of the Sea" will be broadcast on NHK BS Premium 4K. ``The Twelve Kingdoms'' will be broadcast every Friday at 7pm starting April 3rd, and ``Nadia: The Secret of the Sea'' will be broadcast every Sunday at 9pm starting April 5th.

``The Twelve Kingdoms'' is a fantasy story in which Yoko, an ordinary high school student who is exiled to another world, twelve countries, grows up knowing the lowliness, kindness, and nobility of the human heart as she fights demons and interacts with the residents. Based on the novel by Fuyumi Ono, a total of 45 episodes were broadcast on NHK BS-2 from 2002 to 2003. Yoko was played by Aya Hisakawa, and Keiki, who takes her to the Twelve Kingdoms, was played by Taketo Koyasu.

``Nadia: The Secret of the Sea'' was broadcast on NHK General from 1990 to 1991. This work, based on Jules Verne's ``20,000 Leagues Under the Sea'' and ``The Mysterious Island,'' is a story depicting the adventures and growth of a mysterious beautiful girl, Nadia, and Jean, an inventive boy who falls in love with her at first sight. Hideaki Anno of the Evangelion series was the general director, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto was the character designer, Yoshino Takamori played the role of Nadia, and Noriko Hidaka played the role of Jean. The anime has a total of 39 episodes.
