Volume 1 of Kanji Shiba's ``Enigmatica'', which is being serialized in Weekly Young Jump (Shueisha), was released today, June 18th.
The main character of "Enigmatica" is Sakaguchi, a former code breaker. In 1929, he is working as a manual laborer in London when Josef, a military veteran, comes to visit him. Sakaguchi is introduced to Josef and ends up trying to decipher a certain code... This is a story set in a world sinking into a tentative state of peace after World War I, and unraveling the lives of men who have disappeared into the shadows of history by attempting to decipher the inviolable code machine, Enigma. The general supervisor is Ken Kotani, a professor at Nihon University's School of Crisis Management, the code supervisor is Koji Suzuki, also a professor at Nihon University's School of Crisis Management, and the military supervisor is Kazunobu Goto.

A PV with Takehiko Yamazaki narrating, Kengo Kasai playing the role of Sakaguchi, and Tarusuke Aragaki playing the role of Joseph was also released. Furthermore, in the 29th issue of Weekly Young Jump, which was also released today, "Enigmatica" appeared in color at the front page.
