World's Strongest Rearguard Anime Premieres July 5

The Story Begins

The synopsis and preliminary scene cuts for the first episode of the summer anime series 'The World's Strongest Rearguard ~The Rookie Explorer of the Labyrinth Country~' have been released.

'The World's Strongest Rearguard ~The Rookie Explorer of the Labyrinth Country~' is a different world adventure story based on a light novel written by Towa and illustrated by Fuuka Fuuka, currently being published by 'Kadokawa BOOKS'. The story depicts the main character Arihito, who is reincarnated in the 'Labyrinth Country' and grows together with the unique heroine as a 'rear guard', the strongest support job that can also handle attack, defense, and recovery.

Meet the Characters

The story begins when a company slave named Arihito, known as the rear man, gets involved in an accident and is reincarnated in another world called 'Labyrinth Country.' There, Arihito, who became a labyrinth explorer, took on the unidentified job of 'rear guard,' a versatile support job that could attack, defend, and recover. Along with a mysterious demi-human mercenary girl, a beautiful boss before reincarnation, and unique friends, Arihito climbs the ranks of the labyrinth country.
The animation will be produced by MAHO FILM under the direction of Yuyuki Yanase. The cast includes Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Arihito, Aoi Koga as Theresa, Sakura Nakamura as Kyoka, Yui Ishikawa as Eliteia, Saori Hayami as Suzuna, Kaede Hondo as Misaki, Kanone Takao as Madoka, and Yuka Aisaka as Melissa.

Episode 1 'New Explorer of Labyrinth Country' Synopsis

When Arihito, the rear man, woke up, he found himself in a mysterious space filled with people lined up.
He is given a tag called an 'explorer's license' by the guide. '--Welcome to the Labyrinth Country.'
