A large-scale collaboration project between Hoshino Resorts and Shueisha's fashion magazine 'Hoshino Resorts x Shueisha 100th Anniversary - Traveling Manga' has begun, bringing together renowned manga artists to depict the unique worldview of each Hoshino Resorts brand. Yoko Kamio, known for her iconic work 'Boys Over Flowers,' and Satoru Makimura, recognized for 'Delicious Relationship,' are among the talented artists participating in this project. They, along with Aki Mochida, Ami Uzumi, and Nana Haruta, will create stories that capture the essence of travel and the distinct charm of Hoshino Resorts' brands.

This collaborative effort aims to convey the unique world view and stay image of the five brands developed by Hoshino Resorts through stories drawn by manga artists. The project involves Shueisha's fashion magazines T JAPAN, éclat, MAQUIA, BAILA, and non-no. On T JAPAN's official website, Kamio depicts a 'stay where you can discover a new self' using Hoshinoya, a brand that has a theme for each facility. Makimura, in charge of KAI, a hot spring inn brand, bases his work on the concept of 'Royal, yet new.' The official website of éclat features a hot spring trip of a mother and daughter from the éclat generation.

Mochida, known for 'A Story to Read on the Day You First Fall in Love,' has created a 'retreat experience that resets the mind and body' for women in their 30s, based on the resort brand RISONARE. Uozumi, with stories like 'Cold and Soft,' uses OMO as her base and tells episodes where she interacts with the city and people. Haruta, known for 'Tsubasa and Fireflies,' depicts the story of a group of men and women set at BEB, a relaxing hotel.
The background of this collaboration is rooted in Shueisha's 100th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in the publishing industry. This project not only celebrates Shueisha's legacy but also highlights Hoshino Resorts' commitment to providing unique travel experiences. By combining the creative talents of manga artists with the hospitality expertise of Hoshino Resorts, this collaboration offers a fresh perspective on travel and storytelling.
