“Blue Flower Vessel Forest” Visual
A Story of Art and Identity
``Blue Flower Vessel Forest'' is a love story set in Hasami Town, Nagasaki, between Aoko, who works as a painter at a Hasami ware kiln, and Ryusei, a lone potter from Finland. One day, Aoko comes to the kiln and is denied her ability to paint, and she feels that her way of life has also been denied. However, even though Aoko is repulsed, she is attracted to Ryusei's vessel... The original work was serialized in Monthly Flowers (Shogakukan) from 2018 to 2022.
Most of the drama was actually filmed in Hasami Town. Kodama commented, ``It's like having someone paint a pottery that I drew on the potter's wheel and then putting it in the kiln. I can't help but look forward to seeing the finished product.'' Matsui revealed that he actually started making pottery when he appeared on the show, and said, ``I thought of Aoko and thought that she too was spending her days with such excitement.'' The drama is set to premiere this fall, and fans of the manga are eagerly awaiting its release.
