Izuru Kamikura's one-shot 'My Neighbor Fairy' was released on Shonen Jump+ today, May 14th, and it's already making waves with its heartwarming story of an unlikely friendship.
The Inspiration Behind the Story
'The Fairy Next Door' is a story about Daimonji, a 190cm tall high school boy who is feared by those around him because of his appearance, and his classmate Hikushima, a 17cm tall half-fairy half-human with wings.

Daimonji, who loves small and cute things, wanted to be friends with Hikushima-san, but he has a hard time talking to him. Meanwhile, Daimonji was appointed as the fairy supporter for Hikushima-san, and there, he comes to know about the loneliness that Mr. Hikushima faces.
