``A Certain Magical Index Gaiden: A Certain Scientific Railgun'', written by Kazuma Kamachi and illustrated by Hajime Fuyukawa, has reached its final episode in the May issue of Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh (KADOKAWA), released today, March 27th.

A Certain Scientific Railgun is a spin-off of A Certain Magical Index. Set in Academy City, where supernatural powers are being developed, the story depicts the slightly unusual daily lives of four girls, centering on Misaka Mikoto. It started with the April 2007 issue and was serialized for 19 years. The final 21st volume of the book is scheduled to be released around summer.
The May issue of Dengeki Daioh features a special article to commemorate its conclusion. Featuring comments from the original author Kamachi and character designer Kiyota Haimura, as well as contributed illustrations from Chuya Chikakino, Arata Yamaji, Yasuhito Nogi, and strelka, who also draw other A Certain Series manga. There are also comments from Rina Sato, who voices Mikoto in the TV anime ``A Certain Scientific Railgun,'' as well as Satomi Arai, Aki Toyosaki, Kanae Ito, and other main cast members, as well as Satoshi Yaginuma from fripSide, who has worked on past theme songs.
To commemorate the conclusion, ABEMA will be broadcasting the first and second seasons of the TV anime ``A Certain Scientific Railgun'' for free, and AT-X will be rebroadcasting the entire anime series. Please check each official website for broadcast schedules.
