The Inspiration Behind the New Arc
Isatsu Sato's new series, 'Katayama-kun, enjoy!', known for works such as 'She is extremely easy to melt', has started in the June issue of Bessatsu Shonen Champion (Akita Shoten), released today, May 15th. This is a 'nutrition education' youth romantic comedy about a girl who eats her fill and a boy who is a picky eater.
Meet the Characters
Katayama, a boy, is a severely unbalanced eater and can only eat limited foods such as jelly. After entering high school, he spends a lonely lunch break and meets his classmate, Mikoto Iinuma, who looks deliciously eating a huge bento box. What's more, she suddenly puts a snake-shaped sausage into Katayama's mouth... The distance between these two polar opposites grows closer through food.

Wataru Watanabe's 'Yowamushi Pedal SPARE BIKE' appears on the cover and first color of this month's issue. In addition, to commemorate the release of the 100th volume of Yowamushi Pedal, a thick die-cut sticker featuring climbers from the same work is included.
