The first key visual for the TV anime ``Ura Naru Ueha'', based on the original work by Yumi Takahata and Kamayuji, has been released.
This was unveiled at the special stage of "AnimeJapan 2026" being held at Tokyo Big Sight on March 28th. The bright and energetic gal heroine Niina Miyamoto and Yuki Uehara, who has a hidden passion for manga, are seen drawing manga back to back.
"Drawing Naruueha" is a romantic comedy about Yuki Uehara, a gloomy high school student, and Niina Miyamoto, a gal in the same class. The story depicts how Uehara and Niina, who dream of becoming manga artists, work hard while having a "secret pseudo-romance" for the sake of their manga. The animation will be produced by ROLL2 and directed by Shunsuke Ishikawa, with Ayumu Murase playing the role of Yuki Uehara and Sayumi Suzushiro playing the role of Niina Miyamoto.
