Atelier of the Pointed Hat TV Anime Broadcast and New PV Details Unveiled
It’s finally official! The much-awaited TV anime Atelier of the Pointed Hat, which is based on the beautiful original work by Kamome Shirahama, is going to start its broadcast on TOKYO MX and various other channels from April 6th. The production team has shared a lot of stuff recently, including more cast members, details about the opening and ending theme songs, a new key visual, and the main promotional video (PV). This is great news for fans who have been waiting to see how this magical masterpiece looks in motion.
Story and Character Cast Updates
The story follows Coco, a young girl who discovers a big "absolute secret" of a wizard that she really wasn't supposed to find out. This accidental discovery leads her into the mysterious world of wizards as the disciple of a young man named Qifrey. Joining Coco in this journey are several interesting characters:
- Hibiki Yamamura will be playing Agathe, who is a fellow disciple of Qifrey and has a very strong ambition to succeed.
- Kurumi Haruki is cast as Tetia, the energetic girl who keeps the mood bright.
- Hika Tsukishiro plays Richeh, who is more on the quiet side and prefers doing things at her own pace.
- Yuichi Nakamura takes on the role of Olruggio, who acts as the "watching eye" in the atelier.
- Misaki Kuno voices the adorable small animal Brushbuddy (Fudemushi).
- Mitsuki Saiga will play Iguin, the brimmed-hat wizard who tries to lure Coco into using forbidden magic.
Along with the casting, the production also revealed the character visuals for Agathe, Tetia, Richeh, and Olruggio. The designs look very faithful to the manga's unique art style, which is why Atelier of the Pointed Hat is so highly regarded.
Theme Songs and Promotional Video
The music for the series is also sounding very promising. The opening theme is "Anthem of the Wind" by Eve featuring suis from Yorushika. For the ending, we have Nakamura Hak performing "Dada Beautiful Curse." The artists and cast members have shared their comments regarding the series, showing a lot of passion for this adaptation.
The new key visual shows Coco drawing magic with her pen, surrounded by her friends in the atelier. If you check out the main PV, it gives a proper glimpse of the mysterious and sometimes dark developments in the plot. You can actually hear the voices of the new characters and get a feel for the music as well.

Preliminary Screening Event in Tokyo
For those in Japan, there is a special preliminary screening event happening on March 15th at Shinjuku Piccadilly in Tokyo. They will be showing the first three episodes of the anime. After the screening, the main cast including Rena Motomura (Coco), Natsuki Hanae (Qifrey), and the others like Yamamura and Tsukishiro will be appearing on stage.
