In the April issue of Monthly Comic Beam (KADOKAWA) released today, March 12th, two new series have started: Yuritaro's ``Ponkotsu Evil Spirit Yamiko-chan'' and Shinoda Mugi's ``White Powder Flower's Confession.''

``Ponkotsu Evil Spirit Yamiko-chan'' is a story about evil spirits tasked with the mission of inflicting fear on humans. This is an occult love comedy that centers on Anko, a member of the Evil Spirit Division who is ``too cute,'' and her boss Gozu. The title, which was published as a one-shot in the July issue of last year, received favorable reviews and was serialized. The author, Yuritaro, is known for ``Kaya-chan wa Kowa nai'', which was made into a TV anime.
On the other hand, ``White Powder Flower Confession'' is a girl's love story about love and friendship that depicts girls living in a certain housing complex. Atsuki, an elementary school student, runs out of the house because she doesn't want to stay at home and hides in a gap behind a bicycle parking lot, where she meets a strange girl who calls herself Tsumi. Atsuki is invited to her house and is attracted to the beautiful and free-spirited Natsumi, and they begin to get closer to each other...
In addition, this issue features works by Sayuri Sasai, Fujiko Dokuta, and Tamakichi Sakura as the fourth installment of the 30th anniversary special one-shot project. Souya Bun's ``Tsuneta'' has reached its final episode.
This issue also reveals that Comic Beam's "new alternative comic space", Comic Beam:Q, will start within Kadocomi from April. It was also announced that new series for Comic Beam:Q will begin, including Tsuyoshi Tanabe's ``Charles Ward's Strange Incident,'' Takashi Takashi's ``Hyakuday Coffee,'' and Hiuchidana's ``If I Don't See It, I Can't Stop.''
