The key visual and main cast of the light anime "Perfect Addiction" based on the original work by Kaoruko Miyama have been announced.
The Storyline
"Perfect Addiction" is a BL about Akihito Kuji, a playboy college student, and Sae Takatsuki, a classmate who is secretly popular with girls. Akihito is not impressed with Sae's beautiful face and clear demeanor, and one day he encounters Sae in a hotel area, where she is having an argument with a man. Akihito is stirred up by Sae, who is different from usual, but finds out that he is actually gay... It has been serialized in GUSH (Kaiosha) since 2022. It won first place in the romantic comedy category at Chiru Chiru's BL Awards 2025.
The Cast and Staff
The role of Akihito Kuji will be played by Yohei Azagami, and the role of Sae Takatsuki will be played by Soma Saito. The director is Akashi Uozumi, the series composition is by Izumi Tezuka, and the animation production is by Imagica Infos and Imageworks Studio. The official website also opened today.
The light animation of "Perfect Addiction" is a collaboration project between Imagika Foss, Dai Nippon Printing, Cyberd, and BLUE RIGHTS, called the BALLOON project. Light anime adaptations are being developed centering on domestic and international BL works.
Broadcast and Release
The anime will be broadcast on TV Kanagawa from July. Fans of the series can look forward to the release of the anime and experience the story of Akihito and Sae in a new and exciting way.
