The director of the 2nd Season of the TV anime "Black Clover" based on the original work by Yuki Tabata has been decided by Ayataka Tanemura, who worked on the 1st Season and the movie "Black Clover: Sword of the Magic Emperor." In addition, a panel event will be held at "Anime Expo 2026" with Gakuto Kajiwara, who plays Asta, and director Tanemura on stage.

The Story of Black Clover
"Black Clover" is a fantasy story set in a world where magic exists, and depicts Asta, a boy who cannot use magic, and his rival Yuno, who aim to become the "Magic Emperor," said to be the pinnacle of mages. A TV anime was broadcast from 2017 to 2021, and a movie was made in 2023.
Upcoming Season and Events
The 2nd Season will begin broadcasting on the TV Tokyo network in October. "Anime Expo 2026" will be held in Los Angeles, USA from July 2nd to 5th, and on July 4th local time, there will be a talk event where Kajiwara and director Tanemura will provide the latest information on the work, and a premiere screening of the first episode of the 2nd Season.
Also, before the broadcast of the 2nd Season, a video was released on YouTube that allows you to look back on the 1st Season in 10 minutes. This video was shown exclusively at the "Black Clover Exhibition" held in Tokyo and Osaka.
