Volume 1 of Sasakisa's ``Aoki Vulcanaria'' was released by Akita Shoten today, April 16th. A European romance set in Bulgaria under the rule of the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century, depicting a girl, Lucas, who is searching for a man.
Luca, a young girl living in a small farming village, lost her family in an incident two years ago. The person who taught her how to live was Lev, the boy she lived with. For Lucas, Lev was someone who could be called a reason to live, but one day he was kidnapped by imperial soldiers (janissaries). Nine years later, Lucas, now 16 years old and being abused by his housemates, takes action to find Lev.
