The TV anime “Detective Conan” based on the original work by Gosho Aoyama will collaborate with “Iwatani Special Birdman Contest 2026”. The production of a collaboration episode has been revealed.
The "Iwatani Special Birdman Contest 2026" is scheduled to be held on the east coast of Lake Biwa in Shiga in late July. Established in 1977, the ``Birdman Contest'' is a competition in which teams build human-powered airplanes and compete by making full use of their technical ability, physical strength, creativity, and teamwork to fly the longest distance. Also, a collaboration video will be released tomorrow, March 29th at 6pm on the official YouTube channel of "Birdman Contest". In the video, Conan introduces the highlights of the ``Birdman Contest'' ``propeller plane category'' and ``glider plane category.'' Regarding the flight record for the ``propeller plane category'', which lasted more than two hours, the participants were surprised to hear, ``It's difficult even when wearing kicking force-enhancing shoes...''.
