A completely new work in the 'Armored Trooper Votoms' series directed by Mamoru Oshii, 'Armored Trooper Votoms: Gray Witch (Hexe)' will be produced in two parts, the first of which will be released in theaters on November 20th. Ryosuke Takahashi, the original author and director of 'Armored Trooper Votoms', will be joining the staff as a supervisor. The mechanical design will be handled by Shinobu Tsuneki, who worked on 'Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These,' and Yudai Sono, who was in charge of drawing the manga 'Armored Trooper Votoms AT Stories.' Music by Kenji Kawai. As previously reported, the film will be produced by Sunrise, with Production I.G providing production cooperation.
Staff Comments and Expectations
Director Oshii said that he is a big fan of 'Bottoms' and commented, 'Some people may be skeptical that 'Bottoms' will serve stand-up soba noodles, but we are doing it seriously. We are making a serious war action movie.'
