A Deep Dive into the Social Drama and Plot

The series is scheduled to start broadcasting on the TV Tokyo network from March 30th. It is basically a social drama that focuses on the lives of Asa and Tetsuya. They are a married couple who made a conscious decision to live as DINKs (Double Income, No Kids). However, their world starts falling apart quite rapidly after an unexpected pregnancy occurs. It is going to be a very intense watch as it explores the DINKs no Totsuki Tooka narrative through a lens of psychological pressure and societal expectations.

Ema Miyazawa is taking on the lead role of Asa Kanazawa. Her character is someone who has had a really tough past, having been raised by a toxic parent, which adds a lot of weight to her current struggle. Kodai Asaka will be playing her husband, Tetsuya Kanazawa, and it’s mentioned that his character carries a deep sense of madness. To balance this out, Hiromitsu Kitayama plays Seiji Ogata, a man who truly understands Asa and stays by her side for support. The main visual itself is quite symbolic, showing Asa with a bright red balloon while Tetsuya holds a needle with a very cold look on his face.
