The Story Behind You Are in Summer
"You Are in Summer" is a youth romance drama centered around Wataru and Chiharu, second year high school students who love movies. Wataru and Chiharu go on a pilgrimage to the movie's sacred sites during summer vacation, spend a special summer together, and eventually grow up to be university students. The story depicts the sad yet dazzling years of these two.
Production and Distribution
The scriptwriter is Yo Saito, who wrote the entire script for the drama "10 Things I Want to Do Before 40", and the directors are Kozue Sasaki of "Sugar Dog Life" and Shun Haga of "25th Hour, Akasaka De Season 2". Exclusive advance distribution of the work will begin on June 24th on U-NEXT. It will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other channels from July 1st.
