A screening event with a talk show will be held at the UDX Theater in Akihabara, Tokyo on April 26th to commemorate the 45th anniversary of the broadcast of the TV anime "Jarinko Chie" based on the original work by Etsumi Haruki.
At the event, episode 6 of the anime directed by Isao Takahata under the name of Tetsu Takemoto, ``Tetsu, Sports Shoes, and Marathon,'' and episode 11, ``Gold Prize! Chie-chan's Essay,'' were screened. Episode 11 depicts the episode after the movie version released in 1981. In addition, animation director and animator Hiroyuki Okiura will be the guest, and film researcher Seiji Kano will be the MC for the talk show after the screening. There will also be an exhibition of setting drawings and original drawings in the lobby of the venue. Ticket sales will start tomorrow, April 1st at 7pm on the Doripass website.
