A Blu-ray BOX commemorating the 50th anniversary of the broadcast of the anime "Choudenji Robo Con Battler V" will be released by Toei Video on August 5th. At the same time, an announcement commercial narrated by Yuji Mitsuya, who plays the role of the main character, Aoi Hyouma, was released.
"Con Butler V" was broadcast from April 17, 1976 to May 1977. The Blu-ray BOX will contain negative scan HD remastered versions of all 54 episodes of the TV series. The jacket is decorated with original illustrations by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, who worked on the animation characters. The disc has a picture label with original illustrations by Kazuhiro Ochi. As an included bonus, a booklet containing new interviews with Yasuhiko and Mitsuya was prepared. The video bonus includes a preview of the next episode for rebroadcasting, which is only a PR video and audio.
Toei Video's online shop sells a "limited pre-order version." Additional bonuses include an 88-page set material collection, a reprinted storyboard for episode 16, ``Emergency Situation! Unit 01 Crashes,'' and a bonus disc containing the movie ``The Unusual Mechakerot Great Disaster,'' which was released in the spring of 1977.
