I Want to End This Love Game: Major Updates on Cast, Theme Songs and Premiere Date
The makers of the upcoming TV anime I Want to End the Game I Love, which is based on the popular original work by Yuki Domoto, have dropped a massive update for the fans. They have released the key visual, details about the additional cast, theme song artists, and the official broadcast schedule all at once. This series has been gaining quite a lot of attention lately, and many fans believe that I Want to End This Love Game is going to be a standout romantic comedy when it finally hits the screens.

For those who are new to this story, I Want to End the Game I Love is a sweet and funny love comedy about two childhood friends, Yukiya and Miku. Both of them have been carrying unrequited feelings for each other for a long time, but they just cannot be honest about it. The newly released key visual beautifully shows how their relationship has evolved over the years. It depicts them from their days as sixth graders, when they first started playing the "I love you game"—a silly but high-stakes competition where the person who gets shy or flustered first loses—all the way until their current lives as high school students.
Exciting New Additions to the Cast
Along with the visual, four more talented voice actors have been confirmed to join the series. These characters are set to bring even more life to the story. Here is the list of the additional cast members:
- Wakana Maruoka will be voicing Wakana Asagi, who is the 12-year-old first-year junior high school student and younger sister of Yukiya.
- Taketo Koyasu is playing the role of Masahiro Shinonome, the master of Cafe KANADE and also Miku's uncle.
- Yui Ogura joins as Hinako Hanaba, a third-year university student who works part-time at Cafe KANADE and dreams of becoming a professional voice actress.
- Kaede Hondo will voice Natsuki Moegi, a classmate of Yukiya and Miku and someone who has been Miku's close friend since middle school.
All four cast members have also shared their comments, expressing their excitement for the project and how much they are looking forward to playing these roles.
Musical Themes and Broadcast Schedule
Music is always a big part of any rom-com, and this show is no different. The opening theme will be "Kimi no Sei de Aishiteru" performed by the popular group CHiCO with HoneyWorks. For the ending theme, we have "Little World" by PompadollS. Both groups have sent in their heartfelt messages regarding their involvement in the anime. Given the premise, I Want to End This Love Game really needs songs that capture that mix of awkwardness and affection, and these artists seem like a perfect fit.
The TV anime I Want to End the Game I Love is officially scheduled to start broadcasting on TOKYO MX and MBS from April 14th. It will also air on BS Asahi starting from April 17th. To make things even more exciting for the fans, there is a special giveaway running until March 22nd on the official X (formerly Twitter) account. Fans have a chance to win colored papers signed by the main cast members, including Maruoka, Koyasu, Ogura, and Hondo.
