The Ikebukuro Debut Event
An event will be held on June 28th at Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas in Tokyo to screen the animated film "To the Earth..." based on the original work by Keiko Takemiya, and a reference screening of the anime "Uta of the Wind and Trees." At the same event, Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, director of ``Uta of the Wind and Trees,'' Takemiya, and Yuko Sasaki, who plays Gilbert in ``Uta of the Wind and Trees,'' will be on stage.

Screening and Talk Show
At the event, ``Song of the Wind and Trees,'' for which screening rights were unknown for a long time, will be screened at a movie theater for the first time with the cooperation of director Yasuhiko and Takemiya. This is the first time that director Yasuhiko, Takemiya, and Sasaki will appear together on the talk show. Tickets will be on sale from 12:00 on May 1st at the Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas online ticket site and at the Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas counter.
About the Films
``To the Earth...'' released in 1980 is the first film adaptation of Takemiya's original work. Jomy Marquise Shin, a boy from the oppressed new human race ``Mew'' with special abilities, aims to coexist with humanity while leading the Mew in battle. ``Poetry of the Wind and Trees,'' produced in 1987, is set in a boarding school in France at the end of the 19th century, and depicts the love between Gilbert, a handsome boy, and Serge, a sincere transfer student.
