The Manga Award is looking for one-shot works that depict a single situation without changing locations. The Shonen Jump+ editorial department explained the intention of the Manga Award, saying, ``While 'moving places' in a story makes it easier to develop the story, it can also make it difficult to read because the amount of information has to be increased by drawing lines and panels to explain the situation.''They also explained the intention of the Manga Award by saying, ``By intentionally adding the condition 'no moving places,' we hope that works that are easy to read and have ideas unique to these conditions will be submitted.''

In addition, Angyaman, who created ``Ramen Aka Neko'', will be participating as a special judge for the Manga Award. Angyaman explained the award by saying, ``Scene changes in manga are a necessary technique for expression, but this award is suitable for short stories, such as one scene...a closed room, an interrogation room, a studio room, a closet, or the inside of a car...settings and scenarios that can only be made in a limited space, and the relationships between the characters, including why they are there, what they do there, and what they say...''This award is suitable for short stories.''

Apply to Jump Rookie! We also accept submissions via online submission form or by mail. The application deadline is June 7th.
