Battle of the Souls: Jun Shison Joins Kingdom Live-Action as Meng Tian
The latest updates for the live-action movie Kingdom: Battle of the Souls have really created a lot of buzz among the fans. This new film, which is based on the legendary original work by Yasuhisa Hara, is bringing some very big names to the screen. We have recently learned that Jun Shison, Kaede Kamio, Kenji Sakaguchi, Ayumu Tanida, Yajuro Bando, Satoshi Hashimoto, and Takashi Sasano are all part of this massive project. To make things even more exciting, a special video featuring footage from the main story has been released for the first time, giving us a real glimpse into the intense action.

A Closer Look at the New Cast Members
The production team has shared a detailed list of additional cast members who will be joining the Qin army's ranks. It is quite a solid lineup that really captures the depth of the series. Here is a breakdown of who is playing whom:
- Mokyo: Played by Atsushi Shison (Jun Shison).
- Kanki: Played by Kenji Sakaguchi.
- Mokyo (Ouhon's unit): Played by Kaede Kamio.
- Wang Yan: Played by Ayumu Tanita.
- Meng Lu: Played by Yajuro Bando.
- Zhang Tang: Played by Satoshi Hashimoto.
- Saizawa: Played by Takashi Sasano.
The young generals Mouten and Ouhon, who are constantly striving to reach the rank of Great General just like our main hero Shin, are being portrayed by Shison and Kamio. Meng Bin (Mouten) is known for his clear mind and how he always assesses the situation calmly on the battlefield. On the other side, Wang Ben (Ouhon) is shown as a very serious hard worker who is unmatched when it comes to spearmanship. For many fans, seeing these dynamics play out is exactly why Kingdom is a must watch for any historical action lover.
General Kanki and the Qin Military Command
One of the most anticipated reveals is Kenji Sakaguchi playing the role of Kanki. He is a general with a very dark background as a former bandit leader, and he leads an army that is basically full of rogues and outlaws. Ayumu Tanita takes on the role of Ousen, the current head of the Wang family. Ousen is a cold-hearted military genius who famously declares that he never fights a losing battle. It is these complex characters and their different philosophies that explain why Kingdom is a must watch for people who enjoy deep strategy.
We also have Yajuro Bando playing another version of Ousen (likely referring to the broader clan context or a specific scene), and Satoshi Hashimoto as Mogou, the legendary Great General known as "White Old Man." Hashimoto also portrays Zhang Tang, a veteran commander who has spent over 50 years on the frontlines. Finally, Takashi Sasano plays Saitaku, the seasoned diplomat of the Qin dynasty.
