Huge Cast Update for Live-Action Movie "Kingdom: Battle of the Souls"

The upcoming live-action film "Kingdom Battle of the Souls" is already making a lot of noise with some really big names joining the cast. Based on the legendary manga work of Yasuhisa Hara, this new movie is going to be a massive spectacle. We have just received confirmation that Takumi Saito, Katsuya, Kei Tanaka, Wataru Ichinose, Kento Shibuya, Kai Shishido, Kosei Yuki, Ryoki Miyama, Ao Nakamura, and Ayaka Miyoshi are all set to appear. To make things even more exciting, a special "joint military version" video has been dropped, giving us a first proper look at the main footage.

Breaking Down the New Cast and Characters

The scale of this film is honestly quite mind-blowing. The producers have revealed exactly who is playing who in this high-stakes battlefield drama. The lineup includes:

  • Takumi Saito as Shunsin-kun, the top-tier commander-in-chief.
  • Ryōki Miyama as the young commander Hakurei.
  • Kosei Yuki taking on the role of Yuki Tsubasa.
  • Ao Nakamura playing the trusted Keisha.
  • Wataru Ichinose as the fierce Rinbu-kun.
  • Kai Shishido as Ordo, leader of the northern tribes.
  • Katsuya as the "giant of Chu," Kan Ming.
  • Ayaka Miyoshi as the war genius Lin Lin (Karin).
  • Kei Tanaka as the siege weapon expert Wu Fengming.
  • Kento Shibuya as the sacrificial commander Cheng Hing (Seikai).

With such a heavy-duty list of actors, it is easy to see why Kingdom is a must watch for fans of historical epics. The movie is scheduled to hit the screens on July 17th, marking a very significant installment in the live-action franchise. The plot is going to be intense, focusing on Qin as they clash with a massive joint army formed by the alliance of Chu, Zhao, Wei, Han, Yan, and Qi.

The Commanders of the Six Nations Alliance

The character Shunshin-kun, played by Saito, is particularly interesting because he has ruled the power of Chu for two decades and is considered one of the most powerful men in China. Then we have Katsuya playing Kanmei, who is basically a human tank on the battlefield. The addition of Ayaka Miyoshi as Karin adds a layer of tactical brilliance to the Chu army, while Ichinose's character Rinbu will be the one breaking through enemy lines with pure brute force.

On the Zhao side, Nakamura's Keisha is the right-hand man to Li Mu (played by Shun Oguri), who is the real mastermind behind this whole joint army idea. We will also see Yuki Yamada returning as Mangyoku and Yui Sakuma as Kaine. The sheer variety of fighting styles and political backstabbing is a huge part of why Kingdom is a must watch for anyone who loves deep storytelling. The film clearly doesn't want to hold back on the scale of the crisis facing Qin.
