The TV anime "#ZombieSearching" based on Katsuo's original work will be broadcast every Saturday at 11:30 pm starting October on the "IMAnimation" slot of TV Asahi's 24 network stations nationwide. TV anime “#Looking for zombies” teaser PV
Kyori Nemoto will play the role of Aki, who travels through a world full of zombies in search of her father. Lynn will play the role of Natsuki, a childhood friend who works with Aki, and Toshiya Miyata (Kis-My-Ft2) will play the role of Haru. Hibiki Yamamura will play the role of Yu, whom Aki and her friends meet on the way, and Yuka Nukui will play the role of Sakura. Commenting on his impressions of the original work, Nemoto said, ``The characters in the story, including Aki, spend their days very lively, so I thought it had a pop and refreshing feel, and it gave us a sense of energy as we read it.'' Official X is also running a campaign where you can win a big postcard signed by Nemoto, Lynn, Yamamura, and Nukui.
Studio Comet will be in charge of animation production. The director was decided to be Shinya Une. The series composition and script are written by Kenichi Yamashita and Aki Itami, the character designs are by Narumi Shimoji, and the music is by Kenta Higashioji.
"#ZombieSearching" is a "zombie x youth comedy" in which 90% of humanity has turned into zombies, and Aki, a girl born in a village isolated from zombies, rushes out into the outside world to search for her father. The original work was serialized in Comic Dengeki Daiouji (KADOKAWA), and three volumes were published.
