The TV anime "Magic Knight Rayearth" based on the original work by CLAMP will be broadcast on TV Asahi's national network "IMAnimation W" from October. The cast who will play the three main characters, Magic Knights, has been revealed.
This was announced at the special stage of "AnimeJapan 2026" held at Tokyo Big Sight on March 28th. Ayane Sakura will play the role of Hikaru Shido, who has a straightforward heart and drive, Rumi Okubo will play the role of Umi Ryuzaki, who has a cool and winning personality but is kind and caring for her friends, and Rie Takahashi will play the role of Jifu Hououji, who has a soft demeanor but sometimes supports her friends with her keen insight.
The key visual and teaser PV have also been released. The key visual powerfully depicts the magic knights Hikari, Umi, and Kaze raising their swords against the backdrop of the fantastical, otherworldly Cefiro. Also appearing are Princess Emerode praying after summoning the three girls to Cefiro, Zagato showing a fearless expression, and Mokona, a mysterious being who travels with the Magic Knight. In the teaser PV, which used footage from the main story for the first time, three girls who met at Tokyo Tower are suddenly invited to another world and are shown facing the world as magic knights.

In addition, CLAMP's original illustrations and messages have arrived. CLAMP said, ``It was a real honor to be the first to hear the wonderful performances and beautiful songs of the new cast members.We, along with everyone, will continue to cherish the journey in Cefiro, where light, sea, and wind walk.''
