It has been announced that illustrator Mika Pikazo will produce an original animation 'Rebel Robotica', which will be working on the story and character designs.

The Original Work
'Rebel Robotica' is a near-future science fiction work released by Mika Pikazo as a personal work in 2017. At the end of 2019, Ryo Yoshigami, a scriptwriter for the 'PSYCHO-PASS' series, participated and announced 'Level Robotica Episode #β One day.' The text and illustrations were released one after another on the website. It will be made into a novel in 2022. 'RE:BEL ROBOTICA 0' and 'RE:BEL ROBOTICA' by Gakuto Mikumo were released by Shinchosha.
The Anime Production
The original work is set in Japan in 2050, when 'Meta Reality (MR)', which integrates reality and virtual reality, has become widespread and people can recognize digital data with their five senses, and depicts the story of Taiki, who is unable to benefit from MR due to a congenital 'MR' bug. The anime to be produced this time will be set in Shibuya in 2050, and will develop a new story that is original to the anime, while inheriting the worldview of the original work.
A comment has arrived from Mika Pikazo. Regarding the work, he said, 'Through discussions and cooperation with many people over many years, I created a story about people living in a world where 'happiness' has come to be enjoyed as a matter of course.'
