The Story So Far
'Polar Opposite You and Me' is a romantic comedy based on the manga by Kocha Agazawa, which will be serialized in 'Jump+' until 2024, with a cumulative circulation of over 2.1 million copies, including the electronic version, and has won numerous manga awards.
The film depicts two polar opposites, Suzuki, a girl who is always full of energy but is concerned about what others think of her, and Tani, a quiet boy who clearly speaks his mind, as they respect each other and slowly deepen their understanding, as well as their school life with their friends.
The first season of the TV anime was aired from January 2026 and attracted a lot of attention. Lapintrack will continue to produce the animation for the second season starting in July, directed by Takakazu Nagatomo. The cast includes Sayumi Suzushiro as Suzuki, Shogo Sakata as Tani, Yuna Taniguchi as Watanabe, Goka Hirabayashi as Sato, Anji Iwata as Yamada, Miyuri Shimabukuro as Azuma, Wataru Kato as Taira, Kokoro Omori as Nishi, and Tomori Kusunoki as Honda.
