The Story of Steel no Mabito
Volume 1 of ``Tetsu no Mabito'' by Takashi Shiina of ``GS Mikami Gokuraku Daisakusen!!'' and ``Zettai Karen Children'' was released today, June 18th.
The Setting and Characters
This work is a heroic story that depicts the battles of boys and girls, set in the Taisho era, where a great war was fought against monsters that appeared from another world. Senjuhanto, a bright young boy, is estranged from his fiancée and family when it turns out that he is a hideous being called "Mabito", a monster parasitic in a part of his body.
He no longer gets admission to the elite school he had been accepted to, and ends up enrolling at Mao Gijuku, a private school where Mabito gathers. While working hard to exterminate monsters with fellow Mabito Kohei Migashira and headmaster Tsubaki, who is a reincarnation of Ryoma Sakamoto, he also confronts members of the Shinsengumi who have been reincarnated as beautiful girls.

The work is currently being serialized in Shonen Sunday S (Shogakukan). With the release of Volume 1, fans can now dive into the world of Steel no Mabito and experience the thrilling story for themselves.
