Star Wars: Visions Presents — The Ninth Jedi has officially premiered, and the critics are raving about it. With a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, this new series is a must-watch for any Star Wars fan. The story follows Lah Kara, a young Jedi, as she continues her training under Margrave Juro and embarks on an epic journey of self-discovery.

This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the cast and crew at Lucasfilm and Production I.G.
Expansion of the Star Wars Universe
Leading up to the release of The Ninth Jedi, the series was noted as being just the first entry in the wider Star Wars: Visions Presents banner, which will continue to expand upon other fan-favorite titles from the original anthology. In 2025, Star Wars: Visions executive producer James Waugh confirmed that the anthology and its follow-ups won't be tied down by established Star Wars canon, even if some entries do exist within that framework.

Some of these stories fit perfectly within canon. I mean that's the thing, we're not saying don't do that. I don't think we'd ever get things like 'The Duel' if we tried to fit it into that.
Star Wars: Visions director Shinya Ohira also confirmed that fans of the series shouldn't expect it to dive too deep into any overtly horrifying territory any time soon. There are limits on the portrayal of gore as well, because it's on the Disney+ platform, obviously, Ohira explained. That was the one condition that didn't upset me, but it was the one condition that I had to really think about because in my animation, I'm used to drawing quite graphic material, and I was thinking about potentially making this relatively graphic.
