The Storyline and Production
BAAHUBALI: THE ETERNAL WAR PART 1 is the most expensive Indian animated feature film ever produced and is scheduled for worldwide release in 2027. Set in the aftermath of the live-action film, the story depicts Amarendra Baahubali, a human king, departing for the afterlife and becoming embroiled in a cosmic battle between gods (Devas) and Asuras (Asuras). The film is directed by Ishan Shukla, who also directed Season 2 of Star Wars: Visions, and the screenplay was written by Scott Mosher, known for his work on The Grinch.
Collaborative Production Efforts
Studio Color is in charge of producing some of the anime parts. Akira Honma will be the director of this part, Noriko Ito will be the character designer, and the main staff will also include Masahiro Maeda of "Shin Evangelion the Movie". In addition, Slow Curve will be in charge of planning and producing the anime parts handled by Studio Color.

It has been selected for the "Work in Progress" section of the world's largest animation film festival, "Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2026," and the latest videos and production status will be introduced there.
