Episodes 1 to 12 of the TV anime "DEATH NOTE", based on the original work by Tsugumi Ohba and Ken Obata, will be released on YouTube's official Anime Times channel from today, March 9th to March 22nd.

``DEATH NOTE'' begins when Light Yagami, a high school student with a genius mind, picks up a ``Death Note'' dropped by the god of death, who has the power to ``death anyone whose name is written in that notebook.'' The cumulative circulation of the original work has exceeded 30 million copies, and various media mixes have been made, including TV animation, live-action movies, TV dramas, and musicals. In the TV anime, Mamoru Miyano will play the role of Light Yagami, Kappei Yamaguchi will play the role of L. Ryuzaki, Shido Nakamura will play the role of Ryuk, and Aya Hirano will play the role of Misa. Directed by Tetsuro Araki and produced by Madhouse, all 37 episodes were broadcast on Nippon Television and other channels from 2006 to 2007.
