First "Tensura" 4DX Screening on March 20: Third Screening—Serial Code Card

The highly anticipated 4DX screening of "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Blue Sea" is finally set to begin on March 20th across 58 compatible theaters. This is a very big moment for fans because it’s the first time the series is getting the full 4DX treatment. Starting from March 13th, viewers can also look forward to a limited distribution of "Metallic Illustration Cards" which come with a special Maoryu serial code as part of the third visitor benefit phase.

Ever since its initial release on February 27th, Tears of the Blue Sea has been performing brilliantly at the box office. In just 11 days, it managed to attract over 400,000 viewers and crossed a massive 540 million yen in revenue. This clearly shows why That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a must watch fantasy epic for both old and new fans. The upcoming 4DX version is going to be packed with environmental effects like actual rain, heavy storms, and splashes of water to match the "blue sea" theme of the movie. You can even feel the scent of the sea while watching!

Immersive Action and Exclusive Rewards

The action scenes are expected to be the real highlight here. When characters like Rimuru, Gobuta, and Suiryu engage in battle, the 4DX technology will make you feel like you are actually riding the boards on those large waves. If you want to find out which theaters are hosting these special screenings, make sure to check the official website’s theater page before heading out.

Talking about the rewards, the third edition bonus card features the movie's key visual on the front. However, the back side is what gamers will love—it has a serial code for the app game "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Founding Story of the Demon King and the Dragon." This code can be exchanged for a special character: ★4 [Demon King of Off Days] Rimuru Tempest.

Behind the Scenes with Studio 8BIT

Currently, the popular platform Natalie is running a special multi-genre feature on the film covering comics, movies, and music. In a very interesting segment for Comic Natalie, Akapen Takigawa actually visited Studio 8BIT, the production house behind the anime. He got a chance to see the hard work and clever ingenuity the staff puts into every frame of the movie.

Highlights from the Special Feature:

  • Studio Infiltration: Red pen Takigawa explores the creative process at 8BIT.
  • Powerful Visuals: Understanding the commitment required for those high-octane battle scenes.
  • Cast Interviews: Exclusive talks with Miho Okasaki, Koichi Domoto, and Hinatazaka46 members.
  • Character Insights: Koichi Domoto explains how he acted for his important character by imagining the background lore.

The commitment of the team really explains why That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a must watch fantasy epic for anyone who loves high-quality animation. From the interviews held on February 13th and 16th, it's clear that the voice cast also feels a deep connection to the story. With the 4DX release coming up soon, the Tensura fever is only going to get stronger.
