Yamazaki is known for her role as Ran Mori in the anime Detective Conan. The news of her death was announced on May 15th on the official website of Aoni Production, to which Yamazaki belongs. Gosho Aoyama, the original author of 'Detective Conan,' also posted on the anime's official website, 'It's very sad that I can no longer hear that gentle voice that was so comforting and reassuring to my ears that I took for granted.' The role of Mouri Ran will continue to be played by Akemi Okamura, who has been acting as Yamazaki's replacement since her hiatus.
