PicoAni: TV Asahi's New Anime Brand Launches

TV Asahi's first short animation brand, PicoAni, has been announced, aiming to develop and nurture characters through various anime projects.

The PicoAni Lineup

PicoAni will feature a range of content, including popular characters from SNS, original character works created in collaboration with popular creators, and 3D animation works developed with overseas companies.

From PicoAni's lineup, 'Sirotan' and 'Pop Pup Porters' will begin broadcasting in October, with 'Josemaru' and 'Momomo! Ninimo' launching in January 2027.

Sirotan and Pop Pup Porters

'Sirotan' is a heartwarming anime about the daily life of a seal with a white, fluffy mane, voiced by Aoi Yuki, while 'Pop Pup Porters' is a miniature animation that depicts the daily lives of three little ghost brothers.

Josemaru and Momomo! Ninimo

'Josemaru' is a TV anime about a 0-year-old stuffed dog, created by Inochiya, which has become a hot topic on social media for its troubles with money and relationships.

'Momomo! Ninimo' is a work co-produced with TV Asahi by Pink Phone Company, which depicts the lively slapstick drama of Ninimo, a character from various videos.
