Volume 1 of Asa Ichii's ``Imichen!'' was released today, February 24th. A comic adaptation of the series by Miyuki Asaba, published by Kadokawa Tsubasa Bunko. Ichii also did the illustrations for the original work.
The main character is Momo Naobi, a 5th grade elementary school girl. Her hobbies are calligraphy and kanji, and her favorite book is an ``interesting and difficult-to-understand kanji dictionary,'' and she considers herself to be ``ordinary.'' However, one day, Momo's ordinary life changes dramatically from the moment when Takumi Yagami, a handsome transfer student who moved next door to her house, says, ``Nice to meet you, my lord.'' Momo, the successor of "Mikotobazukai", and her partner Yagami-kun, a writer, fight against "Magatsu Oni", which is born from people's bad words. The work is currently being serialized on ASUKA (KADOKAWA).
