Youth Manga 'Here U Are' Gets TV Anime Adaptation

It has been decided that the youth manga 'Here U Are', which has gained support around the world for its delicate depictions and charming human characters, will be made into a TV animation.

This work is a very popular webtoon that has been viewed over 390 million times worldwide (as of April 2026). Yu Yang, a college senior who is liked by everyone, and Li Fan, a quiet and unfriendly freshman. My first impression of the two was terrible, but the story depicts them clashing, repulsing each other, and yet becoming attracted to each other.

In addition to the teaser visual and teaser PV, main character portraits, cast members, and main staff information have been released. Yuki Inoue will play the role of Yu Yang, a beloved senior, and Ryota Suzuki will play the role of Li Fan, a quiet and cool new student.

We received comments from the cast and staff that were released, as well as an illustration commemorating the anime adaptation from the original author, D-kun.

My name is Yuki Inoue and I will be playing the role of Yu Yang.
I was able to spend my days working hard to represent Yu Yang's feelings in a delicate story that was extremely difficult to write.
As we go about our daily lives, what we see on the surface and what moves around inside.
A reality that makes you want to turn away and a past that you want to forget.
This is a story of life-sized university students who live their days struggling with various problems and worries.
I acted with all my emotions, thoughts, and everything that came from me.

Yu Yang

A second year student at the Faculty of Design, Kato University.
He is sociable and friendly, and has a wide range of friendships with both seniors and juniors. Because of past experience, he avoids letting others step inside him.

Since he is taciturn and expressionless, he is often misunderstood by those around him since childhood. After meeting Yu Yang, a change of heart occurs.

However, reading the original story made me think about why it would be so difficult to live if the person you fell in love with was of the same sex.
I hope that the words and actions that Yu Yang uttered after thinking and thinking about it will remain in someone's heart and give them an opportunity to think even a little bit like I did.
