Assassination Classroom: 10 Years Later - New Art by Yusei Matsui
The fans of Assassination Classroom are surely having a great time right now. It has been a decade since the anime first started airing, and to celebrate this 10th anniversary, a brand-new movie titled Assassination Classroom the Movie: Minna no Jikan (Everyone's Time) is finally coming to the big screen. This project is actually a big deal because it is not just a recap; it includes various episodes and scenes from the original manga that were unfortunately left out of the TV series due to time constraints. For many of us who followed Class 3-E's journey, this is the perfect chance to see those "missing" moments properly animated by Studio Lerche.
As a special treat for the most dedicated fans, the first batch of visitors to the theatres in Japan will receive a very exclusive bonus. Starting from March 20th—which is the official release date—special illustration cards drawn by the original creator, Yusei Matsui, will be distributed. These are not just random sketches; they actually show us a glimpse into the future of our favourite characters.

A Glimpse of the Future: Nagisa, Kaede, and Gyo After 10 Years
The new illustration card is quite emotional for long-time fans as it depicts Nagisa Shiota, Kaede Chino, and Gyo Akabane (widely known as Karma) as adults. The artwork is in full colour and shows them 10 years after the events of the main story. They are seen enjoying a cherry blossom viewing session, dressed in mature, adult attire. It is really nice to see them grown up, standing under falling petals with drinks in hand. If you look closely at the bottle Gyo is holding, there is a small figure that looks exactly like Koro-sensei, which is a very sweet touch.
Matsui-sensei also included a heartfelt message on the cards: "Thank you for coming! Please enjoy the reunion!" But that’s not all. On the back of these cards, there is a newly drawn 4-panel manga that cannot be read anywhere else. This kind of exclusive content makes the movie a real "must-visit" for anyone who understands why this unique action-comedy is a must-watch anime and manga even after all these years.
Opening Day Festivities and Stage Greetings
The celebrations for the movie launch are quite grand. On March 20th, there will be a special stage greeting event which will also be broadcasted live to various theatres. This event is going to feature the main voice cast, including:
- Jun Fukuyama (the voice of Koro-sensei)
- Mai Fuchigami (Nagisa Shiota)
- Aya Suzaki (Kaede Chino)
- Nobuhiko Okamoto (Gyo Akabane)
- Ryota Osaka (Yuma Isogai)
There is also going to be a special question-and-answer corner where the cast will answer queries submitted by fans through a special form. It is a rare opportunity for the community to interact with the people who brought these iconic characters to life. Tickets for these screenings are expected to sell out very quickly, so fans are keeping a close watch on the theatre schedules.
What to Expect from the Movie
The plot of Assassination Classroom the Movie: Everyone's Time focuses on the final 15 days before the deadline for Koro-sensei's assassination. It captures that high-tension, bittersweet atmosphere of Class 3-E's final days together. Since the movie brings in material that didn't make it to the original TV broadcast, it feels like a fresh experience even for those who have watched the series multiple times. The mix of intense action and the deep bond between the teacher and his students is exactly why this unique action-comedy is a must-watch anime and manga for every generation. Seeing the class work together one last time on the big screen is definitely going to be an emotional rollercoaster for everyone in the audience.
