Volume 1 of Yuta Konatsu's ``Elf's Magical Restaurant: I've been reincarnated as a fairy queen, but first of all I'm going to relax and cook!'' was released by Takeshobo today, May 2nd. This is a comic adaptation based on the novel by Yokata Orimu.

The Story Begins
Kio Morikawa, a boy who ends his life alone in a quiet hospital room, finds himself reincarnated in another world as Mel, an elf girl, when he next wakes up. Mel suddenly appears along with a huge tree in the naturally rich village of Mézières, which believes in fairies, and is treated as a gift from the spirits, and is cared for by the villagers. Mel savors the happiness of being able to eat delicious food, something she didn't have in her previous life when she was sickly.
The Enemy of Food
Mel's enemy is a black fuzzy creature that makes food rot. The story depicts the ``relaxed gourmet life in another world'' of a girl who protects the health and food of the villagers by getting rid of the moyamoya that only she can see. With her newfound life, Mel is determined to make the most of her time and enjoy every meal, and the villagers are happy to have her as a part of their community.
A New Life in Mézières
As Mel settles into her new life in Mézières, she begins to learn more about the village and its people. She discovers the importance of food and community, and how the two are intertwined. With her love of cooking and her determination to protect the village, Mel is sure to make a positive impact on the people of Mézières.
