The Inspiration Behind the New Arc
The production of the TV anime “Hyakusho Kizoku 4th Season” based on the original work by Hiroshi Arakawa has been decided. Prior to that broadcast, the 2nd Season will be rebroadcast from 9:54 pm on July 2nd.

Background and Story
“Peasants and Nobles” is an essay depicting the seven years that Arakawa spent working as a farmer in Hokkaido before becoming a manga artist. Currently being serialized in Wings (Shinshokan), the cumulative circulation of the series has exceeded 5.2 million copies. After the anime adaptation in July 2023, the 2nd Season began airing in October 2024, and the 3rd Season began airing in October 2025 on TOKYO MX and other channels.
In addition, the latest 9 volumes of "Hyakusho Kizoku" released on April 24th include a regular version and a special edition with a DVD of "Hyakusho Kizoku 3rd Season". The accompanying DVD includes all 12 episodes of the 3rd season, the first and second parts of the unaired episode "Cow Museum" in which Sho Hayami and Yumiri Hanamori appeared as guests, as well as re-edited footage centered on unaired parts of the travel program "Sacred Land of the Farmers and Nobles: A Journey in Search of 'Happiness' in Tokachi!!" starring Mutsuko Tamura who played Hiromu Arakawa, Mariko Honda who played Ishii-san, and director Yutaro Sawada.

With the confirmation of the 4th Season, fans are eagerly awaiting the new storylines and characters that will be introduced. The re-airing of the 2nd Season will also give new viewers a chance to catch up on the series before the new season begins.
