It has officially been decided that the second season of the TV anime "Polar Opposite You and Me", based on the original manga by Kocha Agazawa, will be coming to our screens very soon. The broadcast and distribution are set to start from July 5th, making it a highlight for the Summer 2026 anime season. If you haven't caught up yet, the story follows Suzuki, an energetic girl who is always mindful of the vibes around her, and Tani, a quiet boy with a very strong sense of self. Despite being "diametrically opposed people," they manage to build a relationship that is deeply rooted in mutual respect and understanding. It’s exactly why You and I Are Polar Opposites is the rom-com you need to follow if you love wholesome character growth. The first season, which originally kicked off in January, is actually reaching its finale today, March 29th, with the airing of the 12th episode at 5 pm.
The news about the sequel was shared during a special stage event for the series held at AnimeJapan 2026. The new PV is quite nostalgic as it condenses some of the most famous scenes from the first season, reminding us of the journey Suzuki, Tani, and their unique group of friends have taken so far.
Broadcast Details and Schedule
The second season will maintain its schedule, broadcasting every Sunday from 5 pm across 28 MBS/TBS stations in Japan. For those who prefer streaming, ABEMA and Prime Video will provide the fastest distribution every Sunday at 5:30 pm. Also, for anyone who missed the start, a rebroadcast of the first season will begin on MBS every Tuesday at 27:30 starting from April 7th.
