WIT STUDIO reports as a ``confirmed fact'' that ``generated AI was used to create the materials in the production process of the background art for some cuts of the opening video of the first episode of this work.'' As future measures, it has been announced that the background art of the relevant cuts will be redrawn, and that starting with the broadcast of the second episode, the final version of the opening video will be replaced using the redrawn background art materials. It has been reported that no use of generation AI has been confirmed other than in the relevant cuts.
WIT again STUDIO said, ``We are always interested in new technology related to video production and keep a close eye on trends, but so far, as a general rule, we do not approve of the use of generated AI in the video production of our works, including this one.However, this situation has arisen in part because of deficiencies in our production management and inspection system, and we take our management responsibility for this series of events very seriously,'' and apologized to fans, the original creator, and other parties involved. ``Using this incident as an opportunity, we will once again establish guidelines regarding the production process and review our management system in an effort to prevent recurrence.''
The official anime website announced that the first episode, which has already been broadcast and distributed, will be replaced with a revised version of the opening video after the second episode is broadcast.
