Kotone VS Nazuna: The Ultimate Battle of "Azato Cuteness" Begins

The latest updates for the live-action drama adaptation of Azato Kawaii Watashi ga Winner (Azato Cute Me Wins), which is based on the original work by Suzu Amito, have finally been revealed. Fans are getting a first look at the main visual, a fresh PR video, and some very interesting additional cast members. This series is already creating quite a buzz because of its unique take on workplace rivalry and romantic comedy elements.

The main visual for the drama captures the essence of the show perfectly. It features Kotone and Nazuna, both looking very full of themselves with relaxed expressions and those "brutally cute" smiles that define their characters. Also included in the visual is Shimizu, the handsome section manager who unintentionally becomes the trigger for the fierce battle between these two ladies. It is quite interesting to see how they have translated the manga's vibe into this live-action setup. Many fans feel that why Azato Kawaii Watashi ga Winner is a must watch is mainly due to this intense yet hilarious rivalry.

New PR Video and Fresh Cast Additions

In the newly released PR video, which uses actual footage from the main story, we see the drama unfold. Kotone has always been popular and successful since her school days by using her "azato cuteness" as a weapon. However, things take a sharp turn when Nazuna, a senior "Azakawa girl," appears in front of her. For the first time in her life, Kotone feels a sense of defeat because Nazuna somehow manages to attract all the attention and favor no matter what she does. Poor Shimizu, who is their main target, gets caught right in the middle of their psychological attacks.

The production has also announced some new faces joining the cast:

  • Jun Oshamabe as Yoshinobu Seguchi (Nazuna's colleague)
  • Yoshihiro Yagami as Rihito Tanaka (Kotone's colleague)
  • Hina Aoi as Saya Kinomoto (A junior employee and a new rival for both Kotone and Nazuna)

The opening theme song for the series will be "EYES ON ME" by AislE, which you can actually hear in the PR video. Interestingly, it was also revealed that AislE will be making a cameo appearance in the main story, which is a nice little treat for the fans. It is these small details that explain why Azato Kawaii Watashi ga Winner is a must watch for anyone who enjoys a good rom-com with a bit of a bite.

A Romantic Comedy with a Twist

Azato Kawaii Watashi wa Winner is set to be broadcast on TOKYO MX and other channels starting from April 2nd. The story follows Kotone, a girl who has basically won at everything in life and love using her calculated cuteness. But when she meets her strongest rival yet, her will and pride clash in a way she never expected. The original manga by DPN Books is already a massive hit, with the cumulative number of e-book downloads exceeding 11 million. This live-action adaptation is looking like it will live up to the hype, bringing all the drama and comedy of the workplace to our screens very soon.
