Collaboration with Oshinoko: The Lake Ashinoko Bond

A very special collaboration event has kicked off between the hit TV anime Oshinoko—which is based on the amazing original work by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari—and the scenic Lake Ashinoko in Kanagawa Prefecture. This exciting event is being held all around the Lake Ashinoko area and is set to continue until May 31st, giving fans plenty of time to visit and experience the magic for themselves.

From April Fool’s Joke to Real Life Reality

Initially, the official [Oshi no Ko] anime team released an extra-edition-style image as an April Fool's Day project. It showed the fan-favourite character Kana Arima becoming the captain of the famous Hakone Pirate Ship on Lake Ashi. While everyone thought it was just a funny prank, this new collaboration is actually the real-life embodiment of that fantasy. It is quite interesting to see how a simple joke has turned into such a large-scale event for the community.

The event is currently taking place across three main ports:

Hakone-machi Port
Moto-Hakone Port

Fans can also board the majestic Hakone Pirate Ships, specifically the Queen Ashinoko, Royal II, and Victory.
