A new episode of Season 2 of the short movie 'Another Crayon Shin-chan: Kettle Family!', which is a collaboration between the anime 'Crayon Shin-chan' and 'Kettle no Mugicha', has been released. In the third new episode, the adult Ai-chan, played by Shiori Kubo, makes her first appearance.
'Another Crayon Shin-chan: Kettle Family!' is a commercial released in April 2025 as the first live-action short movie of 'Crayon Shin-chan.' The story is set in the Nohara family in the future, rather than in the manga or anime, and depicts scenes from the family's casual daily life. Season 2 will begin in April 2026.
The Inspiration Behind the New Arc
Ai-chan, also known as Suotome Ai, is a young lady who is in love with Shinnosuke. The third episode, 'It's a Dedicated Ai-chan!', depicts Ai-chan's feelings for Shinnosuke that don't change even after she becomes an adult, and the maiden Ai-chan's plan to propose. Kuroiso, a bodyguard who is like family to Ai-chan, also appears. He is played by Seishi Ikeda, who also supports Ai-chan's love life in the video.
